1. My composite door will not open

If the handle pushes down but the door will not release or open, there is a strong chance the multipoint locking mechanism has failed.

2. My composite door will not lock

A composite door that will not lock properly is another very common issue I repair. In most cases, the problem will be either:

• A failed multipoint locking mechanism
• The door is moving out of alignment over time

A simple test is to try operating the lock while the door is open. If the handle lifts and locks correctly in the open position, the issue is likely due to alignment. If the mechanism still refuses to engage, the gearbox or locking system has probably failed.

Once I have diagnosed the fault, I can either realign and adjust the door correctly or replace the failed locking mechanism using quality replacement parts carried in my fully equipped mobile workshop.

3. The door key will not turn in my composite door lock

Many modern composite doors are fitted with high-security euro cylinder locks. If the key becomes difficult to turn, will not fully insert, or refuses to operate the lock, specialist locksmith tools and experience are usually required to avoid causing further damage.
